Off-Hand - Cruel Barb, also enchanted with Striking. Ranged - Venomsrike or Thick bronze darts. Head - Green tinted goggles, if you dont wanna lvl ur engineering you can just use flying tiger goggles cuz the first lvls with engi are going mostly very quik!

Chest - Blackened defias armor or Tunic of westfall with 50 health its not so expensive. Back - Glowing lizardscale cloak or Firebane cloak, it will cost ya g if u have patience, enchanted with 3 agi. Feet - Bristlebark boots or Footpads of the fang, they are almost even good as feet of the lynx. Enchanted with 5 stam. Legs - Leggings of the fang with a medium armor kit on it. Shoulder - Talbar Mantle, if ur alliance it will be much easyer to get serpents shoulders or Bandits shoulders or sumfin else.

Waist - If you will do some WC you will have the mats for Deviate Scale Belt and u need to find someone who can make it and he cant ask more than 2g fee. Wrist - Forest leather bracers enchanted with 7 stamina.

This makes the average damage the weapon deal 48 and the dps becomes Then adding the additional shadowbolt dmg i've counted with 1 proc every 15 hit, meaning 2 additional dmg per hit makes the dps go up to 20dps, which is far more superiour than any other lvl 19 weapon.

Just because your friend managed to score one of these in a couple of runs doesn't mean you're going to do the same thing - that's what we call a fallacy. It's far more worth your time to do higher level quests for guaranteed cash flow rather than clear a low level instance repeatedly and pray for the best. You'll be sure to find one of these on the AH later on and you can buy it with the money you made doing quests and grabbing loot along the way.

You can get g in a day questing in outlands when ya get there. You can't get this blade every time you go through SFK. Lastly, i've just realized that a twink warlock could use this as a very effective blade. Great warlock blade, i guarantee it.

It will take you a maximum of a 6 hours to farm the honor, and if you have a high level running you through dead mines you will most likely knock out both in the same day. In all honesty, I would sugest to everyone reading this to rule out shadowfang. The dps is higher then any one handed weapon you will get in the bracket.

And yes you can always get the enchant on it blah blah but its less effort then its worth. The chance on hit is something that I personally think blizzard just rolled a dice and flipped a coin and thats what it came out with.

The main reasons for not wanting Shadowfang is: My personal oppinion on this matter is, if you have the money, go for victory. I personally have 2 level 70's, stocked with a decent amount of gold on both. Considering I love daggers with all of my soul I'm going to spend my time camping the auction house for the Assassin's blade and farming honor for the Scouts Blade.

It is not really a question of money, it and Shadowfang never turn up in the AH, at least not on my server. After hundreds of runs of SFK and RFK I feel like giving up. Even though the commander has the highest drop chance, it may drop from the others. Like, just because the Steed Baron Riven drops in strath has a lower chance to drop then the dreadmist leggings dosent meen that the steed has been wiped out from him dropping because the dreadmist has a higher chance to drop. Your percentage is for any one of the 5 Zone Drops dropping. In essence your both right, just that CloudxStrife went a step or two further than you. I got invited to a party for SFK and someone in the party told me I should dual wield instead of wear a shield, so I said alright, but I need a weapon first. So we fight some mobs and such and this weapon drops. Well we were all noobs so we didn't really know it was special so the person who suggested dual wielding to me said I should get the weapon to dual wield and the party agreed.

I equipped it after I had done the dual wield quest lol and happily smashed away with it for quite some time. At level 40 I couldn't afford a mount, it was until level 55 that I could. People Loved the Twinking back in the day beause You could have fun pimping an alt to the nines when gearing up for the best in slots and all the enchants, But most importantly PvP Domination.

Just go into a Battle Ground and pown up some noobs left right and center thats how twinking was, really put the "unfair, best wins style and reality of War in Warcraft". I think they should Reward Passionate players in Twinking and do something with it. Not give it to the kitties only, and give a crappy version to Twinks, No. Blizzard should add Rewards like Twink only Items that are buffed iconic items e.

Hell, Something to Get a fan base going from the Twinks, Like why not make more People interested in Twinking. Stalward the bored Passionate players with some other carrot on a stick. I have read many accounts on the wow forums that state they got it after 4. Its still out there and ONLY DROPS FROM the bosses in SFK or the chests in the instance. A GM probably a new one just told me that it dropped in SFK. GMs really aren't supposed to talk about drops and hints. Here is the chat dialogue.

That means that the first boss and the last 2 bosses do not drop Shadowfang. Hopefully this will help clear things up, and save you lots of time. I personally farmed gold, and bought one for 90k, because I couldn't be asked to keep running SFK after FULL CLEARS of SFK.

If you do plan on farming this, I suggest you go enchanting, and with a rogue. I got 9 Face Smashers, 5 Black Malice, 3 Night Reavers, 3 Witching Staves, 1 Guillotine Axe, and 1 Mindthrust Bracers within those runs. I saw a guy on US Tichondrius selling a shadowfang, being curious I whispered him to find out the price. When he said 50k I was stunned, I thought that couldn't be right. Ran to the AH and sure enough, he had it for 50k.

He was talking to me through sfang keep after his first trade message so I figured he was farming for it, I loaded up his armory and went about my day, 4 hours later he had another shadowfang drop. This is when I became certain that the drop chance had been increased drastically. I went to test this information myself at the shadowfang keep, and here's the result: I doubt they've decreased the rate as low as I got lucky with, however.

I felt it was important that researchers know not to just immediately buy cheap shadowfang's. It seems as if they are becoming worth less than they once were. I didn't believe it at first that people were getting drops fairly often. But I managed to do so myself obtain a Shadowfang. I am unsure of which mobs dropped which since I pulled everything after the first boss up to 3rd boss Lord Walden. I am a very experienced mount farmer I have over 28 rare drop mounts, total mounts to give you a more specific idea of what i mean and so I figured this would be a challenge I'd take on.

I never count the number of runs that I complete nor the total time. I do, however, have the total number of notable items I've received, including the more mundane total of the wool cloth I've received. I now present to you my item totals for the runs I've completed: Also worth noting is that I've had 2 zone drops, Guillotine Axe and Night Reaver, drop from the horses in the stables.

So the horses can indeed drop these zone-specific rare items. Be sure to kill them for every possible drop chance! I can also say with some good confidence that the chests in the zone do NOT have a chance to drop zone-specific rare items. The only rare items I've gotten out of the chests include the first 6 items on my list.

In fact, I got every one of the first six rare items out of a chest. I've received none of my zone drops from the chests.

Comment by SimonTheSurfer I've just had the second of these drop for one of my Level 20 Twinks. The first was from a Frantic Geist, as Wowhead suggests, but this either dropped from a Haunted Servitor or a Wailing Guardsman. I looted them both at the same time so not sure which. The point of this post is that for a while I just ran in, killed the first few Frantic Geists etc, back out, reset, rinse, repeat,which you can do for about 30 minutes until you've done too many instances.

Lately I've been clearing the whole instance, which solo takes about 30 minutes, to hopefully increase my chances and get a few chests. Life's too short to log every run, so I can't give any statistics, but can say it doesn't just drop from the Geists.
