Louis, MO — April 12, Scottrade was an very high demand for production. It could cause stressful situations dealing with other peoples' money. High volume in customer service and mutual funds. The company finally sold to TDA. The business model failed, from top to bottom. Great place to get your 7 if you are interested in being an advisor.

You are paid and evaluated as if you are doing telemarketing all day, yet you are also responsible for all branch operations. It's okay to get some experience but not a good choice for long term. Stress free work environment.

Scottrade work culture is very healthy. Scottrade also empowers its employees to seek for a balance life. The management team is good overall although lacking sales experience. Job security is pretty high at scottrade. Was great 1st experience. When I started the firm had just begun sales and the culture changed swiftly. Lots of turnover because of culture shift. Overall not a terrible company to work for, lots of really good associates but they are bottom tier in their industry.
